What is NLP?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a therapeutic tool that focuses on what you want and removing the obstacles that stop you from getting there.
By understanding how our minds work, and how we sometimes get stuck in an issue, your therapist helps you to change your ways of thinking and helps you work out how to move past an issue and on to what you really want.
NLP can be thought of as a manual for your mind. By understanding how your mind works issues that have been with you for years can be eliminated in minutes. Using techniques that meld psychology with hypnotism, your therapist can deal with issues at their root, in your unconscious mind.
NLP was first developed in the 1970′s and has evolved into a popular therapy due to its ability to help with many types of issues in a respectful way. It differs from counselling or other psychological therapies, as the therapist is not interested in labelling or fault finding, but instead in helping the client realize their potential and move past emotional issues without reliving them.
What’s the Intuitive NLP Difference?
At Intuitive NLP we believe that your mind, body and spirit are all connected and thus aim for results that are mutually positive for all three aspects. We aim to connect you with your own intuition, your inner knowledge of what’s best for you, so as to empower you to reach your own true path.
We empathize with those who are on their spiritual path, and how this can cause difficulties in modern society. Sometimes it can be difficult for those with intuitive talents talking to family and friends about their experiences, or may face ridicule or feelings of guilt and not fitting in. At Intuitive NLP we understand these gifts for what they are, and having had similar experience are uniquely able to provide insight and help.
In your initial session, you will be asked you to fill in a client intake form, to gather your personal details. You will then discuss with your coach a personal history on the issue you wish to work on. At this point, if you or your coach does not think NLP therapy is for you, the session will end with no charge. If you continue, then a session plan will be started, which describes what you want to achieve, and helps your coach decide how best to go about it. Your coach may finish the session with some NLP change techniques.
In subsequent sessions you will discuss your progress, and any changes from both yours, and your coach’s points of view, to show how far you have progressed towards your goal. Then you will continue with further NLP change techniques. At the end of each session your coach may suggest further sessions, however it is always up to you to decide if you would like to book another.
